The PDF includes one page with trim/printer marks (the source design file should also include a bleed). If creating multiple pages, consider the SFN spec + 01, 02, 03, etc., to reflect your page or artboard numbering (some export methods will append this on automatically).
A PDF copy (.pdf) is a version of your source file (including each page or artboard) saved (or exported) as a copy. When creating a PDF use the preset: [PDF/X-4:2008]).
If using Illustrator
Open the source design file in Adobe Illustrator.
Select File -> Document setup.
Set all Bleed parameters to 0.125" (1/8"). (the red box around the images is the bleed)
Position images to meet or avoid the bleed box edge as needed.
File -> Save a Copy. Set format to Adobe PDF.
Select location/destination and then select Save.
Select the appropriate preset.
Select Marks and Bleeds in the side menu (see also: Printers Marks).
In the Marks section, Select Trim Marks.
Set Bleed to Use Document Bleed Settings.
Give the preset a custom name to save it if desired.
Select Save as PDF.
